How it allStarted
After working his way through school as a cook and gaining experience in several different areas of the food industry, he had a dream that one day he would open a restaurant of his own. After 3 decades of learning the secrets of smoked meats and applying past knowledge he decided it was time. In the spring of 2012 the hunt for a location began. In June that year it started to come together and the renovations began. Then the magic happened on September 4th the doors opened. With the assistance of their oldest daughter Melanie, helping to get the ball rolling for the first while the dream came true.
In the beginning Robin, after working a full time job, would come to the store in the evenings helping to make food and prepare the meats. Two months later she would join the business full time learning the complete system of smoking meats to become the rib master she is today. Trust us when we say she is a rib master from removing the membranes to dry rub and marinating them for 24 hours and smoking them to melt in your mouth. Thanks to her, Holy Smokez holds the number one spot in Mississauga for best ribs.
Their youngest daughter became the newest team member. Always having a passion for food and working in the industry for the past seven years, she decided to join the family business and further her knowledge by learning the smoked meat business. Jamie loves to help make food, organize the store and meet new guests. She’s turning out to be quite an asset to the family business.

If you love smoked meat, you have to try this restaurant! I drive from Burlington to come here because it is THAT good. I usually get the pulled chicken but have tried the pulled pork too, and both are tender and full of flavor.
Great selection of barbeque sandwiches I had the pulled pork with a side of potato salad the service was great and the sandwich was delicious highly recommended if you’re looking for real barbeque.
I was in Mississauga today and decided to see what all the fuss was about. This place had great reviews, so I had to go. Being from out of town, I ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches, 1 beef brisket and 1 chicken sandwich. The meat was tender, very flavorful, reminded me of Alabama and Tennessee. This place is a must go.
Small little shop, but full of flavor. Owner smokes meat on site and great tasting food. Baked beans has Smokey bacon, pulled pork moist and cornbread is great.
